CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

      

MYoga Classes
(Mild Heat: room is heated at 90 - 93 degrees)
(Hot: room is heated at 95 degrees)

(No heat: room is warm but no heat is added during class. 80 – 85 degrees)

Note: All yoga classes at Metrowest Yoga are meditative and spiritual. We teach with heart. All classes are choreographed to move the body through each body part and build strength while releasing tension and stress. Each class leaves the entire body feeling healthier, more connected and the mind feeling peaceful!

This class will combine some of both of our primary styles taught at Metrowest Yoga, Vinyasa and Hatha.
The Hatha is a slower practice with longer holds and more attention to specific alignment, the Vinyasa flows more with movement and breath synchronized. Each class will be unique with a different[Shawn Shaw] emphasis. (No Heat)
This vinyasa Flow will bring in deeper aspects of the practice. We may play with more challenging asana (postures) or we may work on deepening Pranayama. (Breath). This practice is for everyone looking to go deeper and lean into the depth of All than yoga has to offer. All levels welcome, however it’s not meant for a brand new beginner. (Hot Heat)

MYoga Flow Yoga covers a wide variety of yoga styles. Including; Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Bikram and Baptiste. It is a vigorous practice that strengthens the core muscles in the body, enhances flexibility, while encouraging deep concentration and focus. All Flow Yoga is practiced in a heated room. The heat encourages perspiration, which helps to detoxify and cleanse the body. The muscles respond to the heat by relaxing and allowing us to move deeper into a posture. There is an assumption that you have practiced before, so there is less attention to alignment ques. This moves at a faster pace to elevate the heart rate and elevate the cardiovascular system as well as develop strength and flexibility. This practice will tone and sculpt your body and heal your soul. Be prepared to sweat, and discover your inner strength!  (Hot Heat)

Kids yoga classes are fun and inspirational with a consistent balance between fun and focus. Classes promote self-respect and confidence, respect for others, the ability to focus, and to build social skills while increasing flexibility. Storytelling as well as classes with animal and nature themes power kids yoga classes.

Classes combine free movement in poses and structures stillness hopefully cultivating a sense of mindfulness and calm. Breathing and visualization help to create connection between the mind and the body. All kids yoga classes are meant to bring peace and to build inner and outer strength and awareness.
MYoga Slow Flow incorporates the same principles as MYoga Flow, with less postures than a regular Flow Yoga class — more emphasis on alignment, breath and the foundational tools of a yoga practice. We recommend 3 -6 classes before attending a regular Flow Yoga class. (Mild Heat)
An entry level class geared toward beginner’s -still a flow class, but more demonstration if needed. emphasis on alignment, breath and the foundational tools of a yoga practice. There is no heat added to these classes and students are encouraged to rest more.

This class is taught by our teachers in training. Offered at 1/2 price ($9.00 cash only). No class passes excepted.

A meditative and gentle practice, including stretching asanas (poses) to increase flexibility and release stress. A perfect choice for anyone looking to reduce stress, recover from injury, cope with arthritis, and prepare for pregnancy. (No Heat)
