Kids yoga classes are fun and inspirational with a consistent balance between fun and focus. Classes promote self-respect and confidence, respect for others, the ability to focus, and to build social skills while increasing flexibility. Storytelling as well as classes with animal and nature themes power kids yoga classes. Classes combine free movement in poses and structures stillness hopefully cultivating a sense of mindfulness and calm. Breathing and visualization help to create connection between the mind and the body. All kids yoga classes are meant to bring peace and to build inner and outer strength and awareness.
Bio: Amy Louglin received her Kids Yoga Certification thru ChildLight Yoga in Cambridge, MA. She has extensive experience working with children of various ages. Through her own yoga experience she was able to find balance and healing in her life.
Doing yoga at home with her children has been an extension of her practice and an inspiration for becoming an instructor. She is honored to be able to bring yoga to children in hopes to use it to teach them about general body awareness, improve their confidence and focus, and most importantly, help them to develop overall sense of well-being.
