When/where/with who was your first yoga class? Holliston, MA – in 2004 with my friend Laurie. It was a kundilini yoga class. The turban wearing yoga teacher was great.
What / who inspires you? I work as an oncology nurse, and I am blessed to be inspired by my patients and their families daily. They are so brave. They teach me about commitment, patience, persistance, and love.
What I love most about yoga is: How it supports my spiritual life without conflict. Yoga is so much more than the asanas, it is a system of living, a philosophy that enriches my life in all areas.
What you can’t live without? Burts Bees lip balm – pomegranate flavor.
What you might not know about me: I love to sing and play guitar!
Best advice you’ve ever received (from who?): When my friend Liz was terminally ill, she advised me to tell the people that I love that I loved them.
My favorite book: Current favorite book is “The Presence Process” by Michael Brown. An awesome journey into present moment awareness.
Favorite Word: “Tricky” It works in a myriad of situations.
Local escape: Kripalu. A place to step back, contemplate and regroup
My favorite thing to do(other than yoga): Love hanging out with my husband and kids; knitting and baking
