Metrowest Yoga believes that yoga is not only about taking care of ourselves, but it’s also about taking care of each other.
We all have obstacles that we struggle with from time to time. Often we need a little financial help to get through them. Metrowest Yoga does just that!
We offer a work exchange program so that people who wish to practice yoga can do so in exchange for helping around the studio.
In addition we offer a community class at a discounted rate that allows our new teachers to get some experience and we donate that money to various local charities. Often we will add a workshop or special class to raise money and awareness for these special people and causes.
Here are just a few of the people or organizations we have helped recently:
Metrowest Yoga is very proud to offer a $1,000 donation to the American Red Cross to help with the flood victims. We are enormously proud and grateful to our community who have helped raise this money through donation classes. We continue to send our heartfelt prayers to all those struggling to get back on their feet and hope this will ease the load.”
We are very happy and proud to announce that because of your generosity and commitment we were able to donate $1,000 to Bodhian Mind Yoga, http://bodhiandmindyoga.orgthey help bring private yoga to patients struggling with cancer treatment. If you know anyone who could benefit from this please let us know.
We also donated $1,000 to two of our friends and fellow yoga teachers from Pennsylvania who went to AFRICA with YogaHope to train women at the Rona Foundation (a center for widows and orphans in Kenya) to be teachers of trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness.
Thanks for all you do to help us bring yoga and mindfulness to those in need.
