Teacher Bio: JOHNNY GILLESPIE, CSCS, NSCA-CPT, e-RYT 500
Johnny is a true revolutionary in every sense of the word. A graduate of the School of Physical Education at West Virginia University, he has been a devout student of human movement since 1994.
He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is a certified 500 hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. Gillespie had the honor of being awarded his meditation instructor certification by renowned meditation master David Nichtern.
Johnny has presented over twenty-five interactive lectures at the National Strength and Conditioning Association National Conferences on the topics of injury prevention, mindfulness, and yoga for athletes under the Balanced Athlete brand. Johnny Gillespie is the creator of two unique programs.
Balanced Athlete® is functional fitness program that teaches you how your body was designed to move pain-free. Empowered Yoga® is a practical approach to the healing art of yoga. It combines modern day exercise science and mindfulness based principles. Both programs are available on a a digital studio as well as a physical location in Wilmington, Delaware.
