I discovered yoga 20 years ago when I was searching for an antidote to reduce stress and manage my chronic back pain. I quickly realized the healing benefits of the practice reach far beyond the physical. What inspires me as a yoga teacher to continue my commitment to practicing is the beautiful and often unexpected shifts that I experience in my beliefs, body and life as a result of my yoga practice. Returning to my mat, time and time again, has become an exercise of self-reflection and insight. And, I’m always better for it!
In 2011, I completed my 200–RYT with Rolf Gates, and have continued to study and train extensively with various yoga and meditation teachers. Taking a special interest in maintaining back health, I have completed several programs focusing on principles of alignment, biomechanics, therapeutic body mobilization and core integration yoga for relieving back and hip pain. In 2019, I completed my 300-RYT with Metrowest Yoga. Sharing the gift of yoga continues to be one my greatest joys and passions.
