Join Char Willingham for this workshop dedicated to helping yoga teachers find comfort, ease, and confidence when working with pregnant students in their public group yoga classes. Teachers will learn about common pregnancy discomforts, how to incorporate breathing practices and mindfulness techniques, yoga as psychosocial support during matrescence, and how to safely adapt a Vinyasa yoga sequence to accommodate students during this transformational time.

Teacher Bio: Char Willingham is a Metrowest & Boston-based Yoga Teacher, Doula, and Childbirth Educator (E-RYT 500, RPYT & YACEP). She’s also the Director of the Prenatal Yoga School at Down Under School of Yoga and the Lead Teacher of the Down Under Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training. She’s trained in and teaches several styles of yoga, including Vinyasa (heated and neutral), Hatha, Slow Flow, Prenatal & Postnatal, Restorative, Yin, Yoga Nidra, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Chair Yoga, and Aerial Yoga. In addition, she’s a Reiki Master Teacher (RMT), a trained meditation teacher in Tibetan Buddhist practices, and a mindfulness guide. Her background includes numerous fitness modalities, including functional, corrective, strength, self-myofascial release, Aerial fitness, pilates, and TRX. When Char isn’t teaching yoga, she works as a Professional Sound Healer and offers Crystal Bowl Meditation workshops/Sound Baths throughout Boston and New England.
