I’ve been a dedicated student of yoga since 2008. Initially, I was drawn to the physical benefits of the practice. I was looking to gain strength and flexibility and reduce my back pain. While it provided all of those things, it wasn’t long before I realized that yoga is so much more than the postures. Bringing in a consistent yoga practice improved my life immensely. I noticed a true shift in my mindset. It made me feel lighter, happier, grounded and more energized. Yoga has provided me with tools to be more self-aware and present in my relationships with myself and with others.
I completed my 200HR teacher training in Body Matrix® Flow Yoga with Victoria Haffer at the Ashram in Medway, MA and have been teaching yoga since 2015. My goal as a teacher is to offer a supportive and safe space for both new and experienced students to explore yoga together but at their own pace without expectation or judgment.
In my classes, you will experience an energetic all-level asana practice incorporating conscious breath work and mindful movements that build strength and open the body. I offer modifications and intensifications and encourage students to make their practice their own. I believe we all need yoga, and I am grateful that I can play a small part by sharing the practice with as many students as possible.
Off the mat, I am a realtor, wife and mom to two amazing kids. Some of my favorite things are beach days, live music, hiking, travel, peppermint tea, and snuggling with my family and two cats in front of the fireplace.
